Alignment of DDB Videos to FaBiO

Video objects cover less than 1% of the DDB collection. Similar to audio, videos can be broadly categorized to those having creative and intellectual content and documentation. Search and retrieval of videos can benefit from adopting the endeavors of FRBR. To this end, the FaBiO subclass fabio:MovingImage is used to represent resources on the Work level, while fabio:Movie is used on the Expression level. To address the granularity of the collection, additional subclasses are defined on the Expression level for the different types, e.g. ddbo:Advertisement, ddbo:AmateurFilm, ddbo:Trailer, as well as under the Manifestation and Item levels (Figure 1).
